A Saturday in Guatemala

I have traveled here and made it safely! I am still amazed how big this new facility is! Also how much there is to do yet before the 1st set of teams come in just over a week! But it will all get done in due time.  I am used to being here with our Ivanrest group and having many people around all the time.  Its way different being just me, Dan's Family and Estuardo and Naomi around. It's quiet but im sure i'll be thankful for the quiet after the 1st set of teams leave.  But it's nice to relax and have some of my own space for the moment.

Today i worked on their computers setting up the printer and connecting them to the internet and such. Put together the peavy escort system and tested it. Everything seems to be working fine. and then came my big project of the day of moving some shelving from the main room to the entry way to make space for the scaffolding to be set up to build the new apartment! But the shelves were full of tools and building equipment that needs to be sorted and organized. Sadly i didn't finish yet. But i have some time on Monday to complete that job.
All is well here in the beautiful Chimaltenango, Guatemala!

Hi Nate,
We are at Molengraaf's house and Larry got me all fixed up with a google account. He said you have to check out the pv amp a second time. (don't have a clue what he is talking about but I'm sure you do.) We are thankful you made it there safely. Thanks for the e-mail. It sounds like you are keeping very busy. We miss you and love you tons.
Keep us informed so we know what to pray for.
Grandpa and Grandma stopped by Dan and they liked Izzy. She is so cute. Hopefully she'll be
the same size when you get home. Dad and Jenelle say hello so do Larry and Mary. We love you.
Be careful, stay safe.
Love,
Mom

That's right, it is Saturday there (as it is here, but I always loose track of what day it is)! Hehe. It sounds like you worked harder than me today and I worked a long 9 hour day at the Bucks. :o)

The quiet used to bother me quite a bit when I was away from home in a new place. But it is true, you slowly embrace it. I grew to love being enveloped by the spirit in those times. :o) I pray that you too will experience His presence in such a way as this.

P.s. I like your titlebar. :o)

With much love and prayers,
Mel.

Hi Nate!
It's Sunday after AM church; your blog comes before starting dinner! So thankful you traveled well and safe! Uncle Dick and I will enjoy continued reading about your life in Guatemala and the Holy Spirit's work in your life!
Isn't it great "fun" to KNOW how God is directing you and then to obey! ...And then to SEE/EXPERIENCE His working! We will pray for you, Nate; for the details you are responsible for, for the people brought into your life right now, for your walk with God, your Creator!
Love you!
Uncle Dick & Aunt Sue :)

Hello Nate!

Your mom and Jenelle have had an impossible time responding to your blog. Any ideas what could be wrong? When they try to post a comment, and then, go to their gmail account the comment box empties, and, they have no opportunity to send you a comment.

Anyways, Nate hope you're having a great day!

Love,

Dick and Aunt Sue

Hi Nate -
Glad to hear that you arrived safe & are keeping busy. There never seems to be a shortage of things to do there. Isn't the new kitchen awesome?? :) Please tell me that the garage is still kind of organized.....
Thanks for giving so much of yourself for the next 2 months and answering God's call to serve in Guate. I know that you will be blessed beyond anything you can imagine!!
You'll adjust to the quietness - it's actually wonderful, even when the rain is pouring down.
Please say hello to everyone for me and challenge Estuardo to a game of PacMan.
Keeping you in our thoughts & prayers,
Karen & Kirk Lepine

Hi Nate,
Just thinking of you. Trying to post a comment also. I guess we're having alittle trouble how we post or profile being used?
